While the recently announced new Bill before the Scottish Parliament (the
Additional Support for Learning Bill) means that Records of Needs are likely
to be phased out by 2005, a substantial number of deaf children currently do
have a Record of Needs. The charts provided here show the numbers of deaf pupils
and pre-school children in Scotland with Records of Needs.
