How many deaf pupils and pre-school children have specific medical conditions or physical difficulties? How many deaf children have eyesight problems? How many of these problems are likely to constitute visual impairment? What proportions of deaf children have specific learning difficulties such as Aspergers Syndrome, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD or SEBD? This information is presented in the Medical Conditions, Physical Disabilities & Learning Difficulties ADPS charts.

Update, April 2006 (no BSL translation available as yet for this update)

The tables in this section show information about instances and level of severity of specific learning difficulties among Group A school pupils reported in 2000-2004.

Note that the questionnaire return rates are slightly less in 2003/04; this should be taken into account in relation to any downward trends in year four.
